I just saw this and it’s kinduv tedious at first b/c you know they are gonna eventually tell you to vote, but it’s true. Not voting is dumb, and forgetting to register is idiotic! So, VOTE!

Why does she alwasy get to be Govenor Palin, but the man running for president is just Barack Obama? Though she does call him Senator in this clip, she frequently calls a high ranking government official that she has JUST met, Joe. It just irks me a bit.

That said, I loved this moment. It was sadly her biggest blunder (since no one seems to be counting the fact that she didn’t actually answer a single question!). However, I am strongly considering that this word flub either :

A. indicates that she actually thinks Obama is a name of Irish decent and she spells it O’Bama

B. represents the first political portmanteau! In which case, AMAZING!!!!!

I know I’m not actually Jewish, but I know that a lot of you reading this page are. So do what Sarah says and get Bubbie to vote for Obama. Drive your loving grandmother who ALWAYS sends you money for Chanukah there yourself if you have to.

16th Street Baptist Church Bombing
This was the day when 4 little black girls were senselessly killed in Alabama. My mother grew up in Alabama and my grandfather is a preacher and she was probably a happy 9 year old in a different church when this happened.
The girl in the picture is Denise McNair. Her parents are the last living parents of any of the 4 girls killed that day. Her parents are now 84 and her father was interviewed on NPR today.
A little fact I found strange and disturbing for some reason is that “Denise was a schoolmate and friend of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.” (info from wikipedia)
I know we are in a differnt time and I am so excited that we will soon have our first black president. The fact that the previous statement is not a definite truth just goes to show us how little we’ve actually changed and how much farther this country has to go.

I am dorktastic! This is the second year in a row that I have participated in this event. It’s awesome! Last year I was introduced to the series Whiteout and this year one of the stores I went to was selling all their back order issues for 50 cents. I bought a bunch of Brian K. Vaughn’s Runaways as well as some Civil Wars. Superhero comics aren’t really my thing, but for 50 cents I’ll try anthing! I am dorktastic!
